Linda Liem is a retired registered nurse who migrated from South Vietnam to Hawaii in 1968. In 2025, she published From Vietnam to Hawaii: A Spiritual Journey, a memoir of her life that reads like a novel. Her book relates several dramatic experiences: navigating and adapting to different cultures; adjusting to dysfunctional family events, which resulted in mental illnesses; and encountering the beyond, a development that gradually brought her to Christianity. She lives in Honolulu, where she has provided nursing care to the many ethnic groups that have made Hawaii a melting pot rich in aloha for all
